Oprah Winfrey was a Victim of Racism in Switzerland

Oprah Winfrey Speaks of the incident on Entertainment Tonight

The Store in Question

The Store Owner Trudie Gotz
Oprah Winfrey who was recently in Zurich for Gal Pal Tina Tuner's wedding told Entertainment Tonight

'I was in Zurich the other day, in a store whose name I will not mention. I didn't have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear. I had my little Donna Karan skirt and my little sandals. But obviously 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' is not shown in Zurich.I go into a store and I say to the woman, 'Excuse me, could I see the bag right above your head?' and she says to me, 'No. It's too expensive. The saleswoman went on to suggest she look at cheaper bags. I left the store but it proves that racism is still an issue,'

The store, Trois Pommes's owner Trudie Götz issued an apology but denied the incident was due to racism but just a misunderstanding. The handbag was a crocodile skin 'Jennifer' bag by American designer Tom Ford costing 35,000 Swiss francs ($38,000) and was locked in a cabinet to prevent shoplifting.

You'd think things like these wouldnt happen to super rich people like Oprah, Racism is shameful
